Lately I've heard this argument a lot. Just the other day I heard someone say "Well boys are just so chaotic and destructive". I replied back with, "Well my girls can be pretty active and destructive too."
Just tonight Abby and I sat in her room cleaning up her toys. We had pulled out her little wooden doll house and set it up. It was missing a chunk of wood from the roof and Abby said: " I remember mom when Izaak came over and we Blow Up My Doll House, that was GREAT!"
Hmmm, I guess my argument really doesn't hold up.

I think it's a tie when it comes to raising boys and girls. They both have their quirks. Boys are definitely more destructive, but girls can be more dramatic and emotional. I think it comes down to their personality. I love that Abby thought it was awesome that she and her friend blew up her doll house! That made me laugh.
Im laughing out loud right now...and also feel like I should apologize...I would, too, but I gotta go glue some linoleum back on in the bathroom that the boys ripped off the counter. If I dont glue it soon, they will keep tearing it off!!
Boys or girls...hmmmm, all I know is BOYS are tough to raise right now...maybe it will calm down, maybe not. Maybe you will be better able to answer your own question soon enough!
That story is too funny. Our friends that have a boy saw Gabe throwing a fit over something silly and getting all emotional. They said, "wow we're glad we have a boy." I was like, "aren't all toddlers that way?" They were like, "nope, our boy was never that dramatic. that's all girl." Hmm who knew? My daughter is dramatic but i thought it was the age. I guess I need a boy to compare-but not if he blows up toys. :)
You need at least one of each to know how to answer that question. But I don't know that it can have an answer. You just do what you have to do. What a sweet pic of Robbie and Abby at the top. Daddy and Daughter. Sweet memories.
I tell ya, there's a whole lotta estrogen floating around our house lately! With three girls, tears are shed EVERY day. Good thing Sean came along to balance things out! (or so we hope)
