So this last week the girls have been sick, mommy too. Sophie has had her 3rd earache this year and of course her eardrum burst for the 3rd time. This was the first time though that she actually showed any discomfort. She woke up Monday in the middle of the night howling and wasn't easily calmed. I woke the next morning to Robby kissing me goodbye, Sophie and I had finally fallen asleep on the bean bag in the living room, after a night of fitfulness. Today she finished the 3 shot series of Rosphin. We took her into the pediatrician every day for these shots and today they finally said OK she can get tubes. Tubes are great. Abby got them at 2 and has had max 3 earaches since then. Her ear has been draining yucky stuff the last two days, but she's not uncomfortable, which we all love!
So for my Thankful Thursday:
1: Health Insurance: I don't care if we pay $500 a month for coverage it's so comforting to know that we are covered for whatever comes our way (in case you were wondering the idea of Universal Health Care scares me)
2. Pediatricians: I love our pediatrician and I'll probably keep driving to American Fork until I find the time to find someone better.
3. More Time: I was babysitting an adorable little girl Monday-Wednesdays from about 8-4. It was hard for me to decide but I told her mom on Monday that I just couldn't do it anymore. With everything else that goes on in my crazy life I was feeling like I never had anytime to do anything but babies. Mentally I already feel less stress.
These are some striped PJ's I wore when I was about Abby's age. I think my mom or grandma made them for me and my little sister one year. Abby was more then excited to put them on and is wearing them right now, holes and all, she was so excited! She is so girly sometimes she loves dresses and frills! Thanks mom for sending them! I just got a great Christmas idea!
Here's a little video in case anyone is worried that the girls are miserable . . . Abby never slows down and Sophie luckily is just as tough as she is. (our 2 little Tomboys)

yikes that doesn't sound fun at all. I'm afraid for the day Gabe gets her first earache. I love the video. Gotta love older siblings.
So glad your getting tubes, and not taking care of that unhappy baby. This will make you sooo much happier. Love the video. So timeless.
So, sad. Restless nights are no fun. However I love the pjs on your little one. Aren't little girls so fun!
