So Yesterday was my favorite girlfriends 30th Birthday and I completely forgot to call her, in fact I still haven't called her but I'm gonna for sure blog about her and because she is who she is I know she'll forgive me.
So let's talk about Rachel. I first knew her as Rachel P. Carlsruh (P, for Penelope, like me she didn't have a middle name so decided she'd give her self one)
We meet my junior year at Utah State 1998 and lets just say my life has been so much better since knowing her. Rachel has taught me so much. For all who know me I tend to be quite anal and scheduled. But Rachel taught me that there was much more to life then having a clean room and plans set in stone.
Just one of Rachel's amazing qualities is her ability to point out the good in others and tell them the good that she see's. Rachel lives for the moment and always was there to help me have fun and let loose. I still am learning how to "fly by the seat of my pants" a quality that I find quite admirable.
Rachel inspired me to go on a mission and we were able to serve within months of each other. Together we meet and married roommates which has allowed us to stay close.
Among her other talents: hilarious, did I say hilarious, beautiful voice, terrific piano player, cooks without a recipe, really connects with kids and knows how to reach them on their level, frugal (amazing the "steals" she can find), down to earth, extremely smart (it's almost scary), river guide, oh and did I mention she's an amazing athlete-always ranking in the top of competitions.
So you can see why I love that she's my BFF (best friend forever). Our lives are strikingly similar so talking and understanding one another comes naturally.
I LOVE YOU RACHEL !! You are the best. Thank you for being you, someone I can always count on!
Just a few pictures show casing the fun we had!
One of our oh so many and fun trips to Jackson, Rachel's guiding a raft full of men- What a Woman!
yum one of our favorites, this seemed to be a common occurance around our house, ice cream with chocolate and peanut butter add in's.

Yet another dorky wedding invite received at our apartment, here we are recreating it- boy's head on girlfriends cheast, hmm mormon way of getting a little before wedding? (not sure why I've got stuff on my face, anyone remember?)
