4 going on 14

For those who don't get to interact with Abby on a regular basis, a good way to sum her up is 4 going on 14. She has such a little independent streak and doesn't like to be told how, what or when to do anything.

Here is a funny conversation between her and her daddy:

We were just leaving Costco empty handed because we found out it closes at 7 on Saturday nights (what's up with that?) Anyway, Abby was disappointed cause she likes to taste all the samples, so she began to whine and say "what are we going to eat for dinner Dad?" and Rob replies "That tree right there Abby, we are gonna get out of the car right now and just start munching on it, have you ever tasted leaves?" "Yes, they are not good Dad!" We both cracked up because like most kids she probably has tasted many types of leaves.

I seem to have more patience with Abby when Robby is yelling at her. I see it much more clearly, I wish I could see it this way when I'm doing the yelling. But what I realized tonight is she's 4, she's got tons of energy, she loves to play, life is just fun for her. Rules are rules and all to soon she'll have to grow up. So if I could just get on board the kid train a little more often and enjoy the world like she does, I'm sure we'd all have a much fuller life!

Janae,
Keep it coming. I look at these blogs everyday and love the way you are capturing your kids lives. I think it is really great. Just all the crazy things that go on. It really tells a story of Life at the Lettermans.
Love ya, Mom
